Plant-based Prevention Of Disease
September 7 - September 8
Plant-based Prevention Of Disease (P-POD, found at p-pod.org), through nutrition, lifestyle and health equity focused conferences, offers continuing education to physicians, nurses, dietitians, Lifestyle Medicine practitioners and other professionals. Students and public are also welcome. Our 501(c)(3) nonprofit accepts zero commercial sponsorship, funding or influence. The American Board of Lifestyle Medicine recognizes all of every P-POD Conference (attended in-person OR virtually) as qualified toward its 20-hour event educational prerequisite for candidates for the annual ABLM/ACLM Diplomate credentialing examination, and at DipLM24.p-pod.org it is explained how to meet their requirements. Other continuing education credits are disclosed at CE.p-pod.org.
The 13 Core Topic Areas we cover at EVERY two-day conference are shown at core.p-pod.org, and full agendas as they are finalized for each conference are reachable at agenda.p-pod.org. Prevention or even reversal of major chronic diseases through multifaceted lifestyle measures is addressed thoroughly, along with other subject areas such as women’s health, health equity and disparities, the gut microbiota, physical activity and all of the Lifestyle Medicine Pillars. Audience Q&A time is provided for every presentation. Each day at every conference provides 7.5 educational hours. Under our “P-FLEX” system. one may choose any 3 DAYS from our 6 conference DAYS this year, and make an individualized 3-day 22.5-educational-hour package. register.p-pod.org explains more about this.
Conference presentations take place each day from 8:45 am to 6:40 pm ET at our live virtual events, and from 9:45 am to 7:15 pm ET at our Virtual Summits.
